My studio is finally in a position, with a small budget to start looking for a really nice (pres must be sweet!) 24 channel mixer, probably used.

The price range is 7-9,000.

I know there is E-bay, but some other references would be nice.

I'm selling of all of my former project studio stuff to start over again. I'd really like a 24 channel mixer, and was sort of set on the Mackie 24/8, but now I've heard so much bad things about it that I can't go through with buying it.

Which mixer at this size and price-range is better? Should I get an older one?

Well, we were tracking vocals tonight and the bands drummer accidentaly spilt a beer into the mixer ( a Soundcraft Ghost 32). And yah, before anyone says it, I was gain riding the preamp and had no idea this f**ked up jackass had beer over my board.

I'm looking for a small mixer (8 or so channels) for high-end classical remote recording. Minnimal EQ, few if any sends, and easy to carry around. Any suggestions would be great.

Hi all
I've had this thing sitting around for a couple of years now, not even sure if it works, but it looks super-clean! It's a Rauland pro204 4 channel mic preamp/mixer. The only trouble is, no indication of what kind of input voltage it needs for a power supply. I remember vaguely hearing 24V - but my memory's not trustworthy to risk it. Any advice?

what kind of sound card do i need to out put my music to a mixer. with let say programm like reaktor or soemthing.

any suggestions on nice sounding compact mixers (4-8 mic inputs)? Main uses will be as a sub mixer or for on location recording. I want it simple and sturdy. No fancy routing needed. I've been surfing the net a bit, finding very few alternatives. My budget for this project is in between the Spirit M series and TL Audio 's Tubetracker, that is roughly $1000-$3000.

Hi all, a new guy here..been reading a lot of forums trying to decide which way to go..stand alone or computer based..whats new huh? Just wondering if anybody has used the mixer interface like roland studio or the event EZbus.. are they anygood or is a good card like Delta or MOTU a better option.. thanks..see how polite I am?
