32 channel church mixer recommendations?
I'm trying to get our church to move up to a larger mixer. I have not looked at buying a new mixer in five or six years, so I'm looking in all directions. After primary considerations of sound quality and durability, ease of operations comes in a strong third. We don't need a large number of buses or aux outs.

tracking drums with a mixer
Next weekend my band wants to do some rough recordings of our songs so we can start pre-production on them. Of course drums will be first, and to a click but I have some questions about recording them into my mbox2.

Headphone mixer for Firestudio
Hey,
I've got a Firestudio and I want to get some sort of a headphone mixer so that at least 4 people have separate headphone mixes while tracking. I pretty sure the Firestudio can do this. Any recommendations?
Thanks

Help with mixer and mic selection with recording program?
I have recently acquired the now discontinued SeaSound Soloist and rigged it up with XP drivers.
The benefits of a mixer
Please help me understand the benefits of a mixing console over the software mixing capabilities of say PT, Logic, etc. (in the home studio context)
Is it pre's, greater accuracy in EQing, the visceral standpoint of turning a knob?
I know there are a million ways to skin the cat, so I'd just like to understand one more.
Thanks.

Monitoring a Firewire Mixer
I finally got a computer set up for my Phonic 18 channel firewire mixer. Any suggestions on how to wire it up especially for monitoring? Do I use the sound card on the computer or monitor through the board somehow? I'm a virgin at this so please be gentle!

Using An Analog Mixer With A 1010lt
I have a set of Roland TD-12 V-Drums, a Yamaha keyboard, a guitar stereo signal processor and a Shure SM57 mic for vocals and recording guitar amps. That's it, 7 signals. I used to run them into an old Tascam M-35 analog mixer(8-4-2), and record one instrument at a time into the stock soundcard of my computer, a one man band setup.
