I'm kind of a beginner to computer recording, and recently bought a Delta 1010 soundcard with 8-channel breakbox. It doesn't have preamps and the only adjustable part is a button for each channel which switches from -10db to +4db signal levels (which would you generally use for direct guitar or vocal microphone?)

I need a Mixingboard with 8 direct OUTs to mix the signals into my soundcard (That has 10 in/outs, 8 RCA in and two XLR in. Well even more simple, a delta 1010lt).

This mixer must be at a tight budget level.

Does this live on this earth?

I think i may get this mixer it is also a interface.
Its fire wire. It come with software but ill use vegas. Im also gona use another mixer in the stero channels for drums. Anyway anyone have experience with this mixer/interface or no about it. Is it a good idea to get or can i get better for the money.

should I go through my Behringer V-amp2 to get a good unike sound then into my Behringer 502 mixer then into my 0404 sound card. Or, just guitar/bass go clean from mixer to sound card, then do the EQ with plugins on Sony Vegas. Thanks for the help.

so i just bought a brand new out of the box Alesis Multimix 8 usb power mixer and some brand new sure sm57 and 52beta mics (for recording drums). all in all i spent close to $900 on brand new equipment and when I plugin the 4 mics to the 4 mixer mic preamps and power it up and even switch on the phantom power, i get no responce or pickup indicators on the mixer.

I have posted some noise concerns of my Alesis Multimixer 8 on another thread. I am still looking for a solution to that, but I have a feeling it's my mixer.

I just bought a micpreamp -PreSonus Tubepre- & I need to connect it on the same USA-EU transformer (they are US models connected on a European plug) of the one which is used to connect a Mackie VLZ 1202.

it makes a kind of buzz/noise which is more than annoying for my voice recordings.

Any ideas to solve this?

Right now I have an M Audio Delta 1010 and a few microphones. The problem for me now is that I had to sell my Mackie cfx16 when i moved back to the states from Costa Rica (had brought things down on multiple trips but had only one trip back to bring things back).
