Hi guys, brand new thread, it feels clean ! Here's a recording I did literally just now. I have a gate at -48dB, preopen-5ms atk-10ms hold-10ms release-100ms. I did those settings because the Gate would chomp away at my words ! For the EQ, I didn't mess around with trying to enhance my voice ! Instead, I just cleaned up the audio by getting rid of over 20KHz ( Beyond human hearing anyway !

Hello, I'm going to get back in recording and such and was wondering if anyone knew of any multitrack recordings I could download and practice on. THANKS

2 questions:

1. How can I route an audio track through a software synthesizer in Logic so that I can manipulate a voice, in real time, using oscillators and different filters?

2. How would I route a voice out from logic, into a MOTU 8pre, and then send a digital signal to an external synth for manipulation?

Has anyone ever used the TC Electronic Finalizer!
I am a sing/songwriter and I send out demos that I have used the Finalizer on when I had an analog studio.
Now that I have Logic 8 INSTALLED on an imac I am looking for a decent mixing/mastering plugin .

I have been messing around with this cool spatial audio mixer called Audio Dementia(http://www.audiodementia.com). This audio software is nothing like I have seen before. When you mix music all you have to do is move around icons on the screen and the music is mixed to where you place the icon.

hmm.. Can mixing for Live, recording, and sound production be perfected? Or its an ART where there is no right or wrongs, good or bads... Can the best results be obtained through math formulas?

Hey Guys, I have an opportunity to get a Hills Audio Mixing Console. Its a monitor mixer (24x6) from 1984. Also, I know its Brittish. I'm using an Allen and Heath Mix wizard (which I like a lot) and was wondering if I would be upgrading in sound quality by getting this piece.
