custom racking old modules

Does anyone have advice for how to approach a custom racking project (i.e. getting old console modules working as standalone units)? I'd like to attempt to do it myself, but I'm having trouble finding any good resources online or otherwise. Is the bottom line that an amateur really shouldn't expect to be able to do this? I hope not!

About Drum Modules

Hi everyone.

I have the following question. As for triggering, once you have your acoustic drums recorded, if you want to write the midi information through a module such as D4 or D5, can you change the sound of the midi track by selecting a sample in Redrum (reason) or do you have to deal (only) with the selected sample in the module?

thanks in advance. :D

Digital Drum Modules/Kits

Hi all. I am a drummer/aspiring studio-tech. I plan to add a digital drum repertoire to my studio. I know that the possibilities are boundless. I use Reason and know some about digital drum re-fills.
I also feel somewhat restricted when laying down beats on a keyboard.
I've played on some V-kits but only minutes at a time while in the music store.

Harmonizers, and other weird FX modules?

I am usually a no frills guy when it comes to vocals, I just like GOOD vocals.

However I am getting into a lot of work with people who want WEIRD Marylin Manson-ish vocals.

My first thought is the Eventide Harmonizer, but I do not have access to one anymore, and as much as I would like to have one, they are still pricey, or at least all the ones I have seen.
