Is the DMP3 sturdy enough for on-location work, in the hands of a caring adult?

I've been hunting around a bit for a Rane MS1b strictly for location work, but I'm thinking the DMP3 might be better suited. Especially for ORTF, etc, double-mic techniques, since it is two channels.

I've converted some of my Digital performer mixes to mp3 in itunes and I want to post them to a web site- the problem is that I haven't been able to locate the physical mp3 files in my hard drive- I know that itunes keeps them somewhere- any one knows where the itunes folder is kept in the mac? Sounds like a stupid question and probably is but I've been looking. :eek:

What are the differences besides looks of these 2 inexpensive preamps ? Are they basically the same preamps or is the DMP3
worth the extra dollars over the Audio Buddy?

having been on holiday with friends and family for the last couple of weeks, i've noticed that mp3's are king. everyone I know has some kind of ipod and mp3's everywhere. CD's? well they are just used as a temporary medium to transfer from pod to pod. There base station is a computer that they've ripped all their CD's to and then pack up the old plastic things and shove them in the attic.

Hi. I have tried Nero Mp3Pro at highest quality
with a couple of different settings.

Is there anything better than this for quality.
I can sacrifice size for best quality please.

I was thinking of advertising Karaoke services on my website (I'm a dot.com now! :cool: ) and I was wondering what the legality's were.

I have seen posted, guy's who have cover bands and get a lawsuit notice from a music publisher and I don't want to go through that.
