Looking For MP3 Sound Adjust Program

I’m after a program which I can use to adjust the volume of MP3’s. Which is to say that I desire a program with which I can adjust the volume of an MP3 track permanently without having to save it as a separate file. For example I could import an MP3 into a recording program, adjust the volume, and save it as a new file, but I do not wish to do this.

Behringer PMP3000 killing phantom powered condensers?

I'd love any insight or thoughts anyone could drum up here on this subject.

My band just grabbed a Behringer PMP3000 (1200W peak powered mixer - I know most Behringer gear is weak, just needed something to get by) for a little more vocal punch and the ability to play some medium sized venues that don't have a house PA.

pro .wav/mp3 player

I am a member of Southern Gospel Trio and we use tracks for performance. Right now were using minidisc but are considering upgrading to something hard drive. I have seen many groups using a (pardon my ignorance) a white, table top, apparently hard drive audio player with a remote. Could someone educate me as to what this might be? Also, any suggestions for something better than minidisc?

Ligeti mp3

(Dead Link Removed)

This is from a string quartet concert, recorded with an AKG 426, with both capsules set to cardioid, due to the noise and acoustics of the small venue. The stereo image has been adjusted in post and convolution reverb added.
