RCA Studio B Nashville - Console Information
I recently acquired the brother of this console (exact specs) made by RCA Engineers. 24:16 with Melcors etc.
I'd love to find out additional information in regards to these consoles. They were made in 1969/70 in NYC by RCA.
There is one at the RCA Studio B in Nashville currently.

Moog repair in Nashville?
I'm going to pick up a non-working but FREE PolyMoog later this week and would love to get it serviced so it can join the arsenal. Any recommendations on shops/techs that do good work on these old beasties in Nashville? I don't really want to stray out of town so middle TN is what I'm gonna have to limit the range to.

Nashville runner service
I have just started offering a service called MyRunner.com providing runners to small studios in the Nashville area. The idea is to bring the service a large studio can provide to smaller studios.

Looking for "Nashville sound" to my mix.
I'm currently working on project that has that country rock feel to it. I'd like to be able to get a "Nashville" type sound for the mix. I'm having a little trouble getting that controlled, without sounding overcompressed, sound that these type of productions generally have.

Getting Nashville Snare Sound?
Anyone here have any idea how a lot of the folks in Nashville doing the newer country material manage to produce such a hard hitting - yet extremely transparent - snare? Does anyone know what mic's/placement/EQ is generally being used? It's driving me batty... Too much compression sounds fake, too much volume kills the transparency, and extreme EQ's just sound bad... Any suggestions?
