Ok - this may be a really stupid question.

but can you connect an amp that says "100 Watts per channel 8 ohm" into a pair of speakers that accept 4ohm? is it going to be the same thing or am I going to damage something?

would the speakers have to have an 8ohm jack or the amp specifically be able to switch to 4ohm?

What will happen if I use 110ohm cable for SPDIF instead of the normal 75ohm.

I am asking that because I have asked for 75ohm S/PDIF cable and they sent to me 110 ohm.

Anyone have opinions about this cable?
It's quite thin and flexible, doesn't feel like solid core. The number on the cable is 2964. It also says 75 ohm hi definition audio/video cable on the jacket.
This stuff is way more managaeable than RG6 or RG59.
Is this what you folks use for S/PDIF?

I have a Fender Stage 100h and a Crate GX412S cabinet and I'm interested in modifying the cab to be a 2x12. I want to do this to eliminate some excessive low-end Hz from the cab and possibly create a new 2x12 or a set of nearfields. Crate doesn't have any info on the drivers but I know they are 16 ohms each.
I also want to record my amp from the line out to my MOTU 1224.
