I would like to hear some of your opinions about the many different schools to go to. I am looking for a school that will teach me enough to be able to hold my own in a good sized studio. What school did you go to? If any... thanks for any info. :D

Another dilemna! I need a mixer now that I decided to put my studio back together again.

I was just curious on peoples thoughts on the Control 24, for Pro Tools HD3? The studio I am going to be freelancing from has just upgraded to one with a HD3 system, and I was curious on peoples opinions.. and how does it measure up compared to the medium to large format analog consoles?

I am putting my studio back together again (kids are older now and I am younger).

I have gone DAW and like it but up until now I was doing a project at a friend's studio and just wanted to do overdubs at my place hence the minimal equipment (Mackie 1404).

I'm looking for opinions on specifically the omni capsule setup on the K6 modular system from Sennheiser. I record orchestras primarily and am quite accustomed to and use religiously the Schoeps CMC-62/64 and Sennheiser MKH-20's, but I'm looking for an inexpensive set for "Studio C". Any advice, reviews, or insight would be much appreciated.

I am a musician / composer, currently using an 828mkII for recording with a Mac (desktop). This has been a great introduction to the world of digital recording. I plan to keep this equipment, and use DP for mixing in the future as I feel it has been a good investment.

Hi all. I know there are a lot of mastering engineers on this board and I'm wondering on what you all think on the best format for mastering. I've heard it said that recording in 24/96 and sending in an AIFF file is useless in the end because of downsampling and dithering. Then - I've also heard that the absolute best for some are AIFF files at 24/48. At any rate, I'd love some opinions!

I'm thinking about buying the E-mu 1820M as I like the features although it is hard to get a review on these since they are quite new. I would appreciate any feedback from anyone who knows anything about them.
