I updated to 10.5.3 first via Software Update and after reading a thread that recommended the Combo update I have tried that without any correction to my issue.

In both Sony Acid Pro 6 or Sony Vegas Pro 8, you can move tracks above and below each other, but is there a more sophisticated way to organize them? That is, can you group tracks like you can group layers in Photoshop? Like, have a vocals group with all vocal tracks?

I do simple voice-over/music bed productions and would like to find a 'Ducker' plugin . To clarify, something that will 'duck' the music under the voice and then bring it back up to original level.

Anything out there like that?

Windows Vista claims to have a feature (ReadyBoost) that can utilize USB thumb drives as RAM.

Anyone ever tried using distortion, overdrive, any generally extreme guitar-amp-esque setups and applying them to violin, flute, etc.?

Just did this a while ago, and it gives violin so much more tone.

PS: I used the Distroyr plugin and turned most of the knobs up a fair bit.

I've got two good guitar heads and a nice custom cab, but what do you all feel about the amp plugins, from "waves, amp farm, and amplitube"?

Does anyone have any suggestions about purchasing a UAD card as far as what package they like. I'd love to by the extreme pack but at $2000 it's a little steep. I'm just wondering if many of the plugs are redundant enough that it's not really worth having all those choices of EQs and compressors. Then again, more IS more. Hehe. Any help would be appreciated.
