I read online about a VST wrapper which will allow you to have VST plugins in PTLE. How do I "SAFELY" make this happen for me?

I've been told that outboard reverb is better than even the best plugins. But is it *that* much better? If I spend $2,500 on a t.c. electronics Reverb 4000, for example, will it sound a lot better than the best plugin reverbs (like Waves, for example)?

I've perused thoroughly all the Free Plug-in threads, but to you who can identify a decent EQ: are there any free ones you'd actually recommend?

I've been using one called Freeverb. .its free ha. .but yea, I find it sounds a little tin canish

aaanyways, what would you all recommend as the best reverb plugin for vocals?

Hey everyone, I'm in the market for some higher end plugins and have pretty much narrowed it down to Wavesssl, api, sonalksis and urs.

Can someone help define the differences and perhaps the pro's and cons between each?

Can anyone recommend decent plugins for grand piano and (orchestra) string sounds? I'm using Sonar 6. The ones that are included are not what I'm after...

P.S. I already have UAD-1 PCIe card with all pultecs, neves and fairchilds and I also have SSL Duende unit so I would love to hear your comments on how Bomb Factory LA-2A etc. compares to the ones I have.

is that even possible, because i notice lots of free vst plugins but not a lot of rtas plugins.
