Dynaudio BM6A vs BM6 PASSIVE + QUAD AMP

That's pretty much the question guys. I have heard the Dynaudio BM6 A's and they are lovely as expected but I have the option of purchasing a Quad 909 stereo amp (140 > 8 ohms, 250 > 4 ohms) and a pair of BM6 passives for the same price (all new) ...but cannot audition the DYN/QUAD combo and would have to purchase on spec/opinions alone.

Passive BM6 Speakers and Hafler P4000 Studio Amp

BM6 passive speakers and [1] Hafler P4000 Studio Amplifer. This equipment was used in an Avid Symphony Suite. Absolutely perfect condition. Speakers have wall mounts. New, the speakers were $1800 and the amp was $675

Dude is selling it for $1000 even.

Good deal? Im looking for good speakers and was shopping between BM6a's and Event 2020s.

Dynaudio BM15 passive with K2 ok?

Hi there,

My first post here. This is a great site guys, much appreciate the info available, it's very informative.

I'm looking at getting some good monitor speakers, and after searching here I think the Dynaudios are worth checking out. I can get the BM6A at a great price, but I can get the BM15 passives even cheaper.

BM15 passive?

I recently heard the BM15A and instantly fell in love with them. Because I want to build up a surround setup, 5 active modells would be to expensive. So what about the passive modells and a quality hifi-receiver. Or 3 inexpensive poweramps e.g. Alesis RA-500. Does that make sense? Are those Alesis amps better, or should I prefer for example a higher quality Denon Hifi-Amp? Thanks
