Pro audio topics on phase issues. How to avoid, fix and repair phase related problem when recording, mixing and mastering.

Calculating degree of phase shift bewteen 2 sine waves!

Hi everyone, Im new here (so hopefully Im posting this in the right place/want to apologise in advance if Im not...)
I want to calculate the degree of phase shift between two sine Wavesof the same frequency. I have the following formula (but cant find the right symbols on my keyboard (!)):

degree of phase = time difference * frequency * 360

Intentional phase-reversed recording technique

As I continue to struggle/experiment/learn how to get the sound I want from my mics, pres, and oh yes, voice, I was inspired to try something new (to me) and it kinda, sorta, works. I take two tracks (recorded with different mics and pres), eq and compress both so that they sound as good as I can make them, but neither one "just right".

Rack Mount Phantom Power + Phase Reverse

Does anybody know about a rack mountable unit that will provide phantom power AND phase reverse switching functions? My Aardvark Q10 does not have phase reverse capability.

I looked at the Little Labs device, but it is not what I'm searching for, plus the price is too high. I need a rope and tire solution, not a gilded lilly.

moving individual drum tracks into better phase

Being a drummer myself, I'm always looking for a better way to record drums. The other day I tried recording individual pieces of my drums and then sequencing them in DP3. It came out better than I thought it would. I used an Audix D4 inside the kick (I have Tama Starclassic Maple drums which are awsome) and a tube condenser about 3 ft away.

Why a phase problem when adding reverb?

As the question asks, when I do even a rough mix of some sounds I'll add some reverb. As I turn up the return I here a BIG time phase difference!
It makes me want to shut it off. I notice this particularly when monitoring in headphones, less in the mains.

I also here this when I do a mix on a DAW sometimes.
