CD Quality Vocal production
I've recorded my wife's vocals over a karaoke backing track. I am a beginner when it comes to music editing, and I'd like to know what are the steps and best practices when it comes to editing. I'm using Mixcraft 5 as my DAW, and I just installed the trial version of Auto Tune which works with Mixcraft. I have two tracks: one is the backing track, and the other one is the vocal track.

Cable length effecting recording quality
I am tracking a few songs for the church I work at and to save costs, we are doing all the recording in house. We have a worship center that has a custom-install snake through conduit in the wall with several parallel termination points.

Garageband Quality loss SO CONFUSED?
Hey, I'm using garageband and a Behringer mixer. I'm recording direct through the rca cables through the input and output. THIS IS DRIVING ME NUTS. I'm playing through my monitors, and it sounds f**king beautiful. then I hit record, still sounds good. DONE.

x-fi meridian by auzentech - recording quality
A quick background, I am not as into recording as I once was but I could use a quality 2 channel recording setup. I am finishing up a degree so I don't have a lot of $$ to spend and if there is a way to buy something that can help me in more then one way then all the bettter.
getting good quality sound in spite of complicating factors
I am wanting to get into podcasting with a limited budget. I want to come up with the best set up for getting good quality sound. I will be setting up my studio in a room in my house which is about 300 square feet and is fully furnished as a living room. Due to many factors, the studio must be in this room.
quality of bass sound
Here's a question for all you folks up on current trends. What is considered a good bass sound? I'm an orchestra guy so all my training and impressions are based (pun alert) on very nice 3/4 or 7/8 symphonic instruments.

Affordable High Quality Amp and Mic
I need an affordable (-$900) amp. I love the sound of James Hetfield's guitar in Death Magnetic. I play mostly Metal and some Modern Rock. I've been looking at the Mesa/Boogie amps, but they're just too expensive (maybe sometime down the road.. haha). I don't really have a minimum watt limit, as long as it's not under 30-watts.
