:? ok. I am a newbie and I am getting a basic grasp of my hardware and software. I am using the Mbox and recording using the Music XPC C1 (win XPhome) . I have been setting up sessions using Redrum, and Guitar and Synths.

I would be very grateful if someone with immensely more knowledge about these things than me, could tell what else I need to buy in order to get myself up and running... do I need a sound card or is there one already in the back of the G4 powerbook? Any recommendations as to what MIDI keyboard / interface I could go with would be most welcome. Many thanks for your help. John

Whenever i open reason under rewire after SX, I get the following pop-up on start-up:

MIDI input problem
One or several of the MIDI inputs could not be opened. They might be in use by another application. Open the Preferences dialog and check your MIDI settings.

as a result, i can't use my controller's faders etc to control parameters in reason. what should i do?

well, did anyone managed to sync aaudition 1.5 and reason through rewire ?

sounds like a good and cheap combination I am looking at but someone told me that in fact it does not work.

First I have tried all of the advice on the Digidesign web site none of it has solved my problem.

I synchronized cep2 to old md 4track recorder and it works superb.
also did manage to sync cep2 to old Yamaha rhytm machine with no problem.

now I want to do it with reason. how ?

So I got myself a copy of Reason and I love it, like many others seem to. Seeing that I'm pretty new to studio methods and all, I'm yet to feel that I have a prefered method that I like for making electronic music. What Reason has done is taught me a lot about how different hardware works with eachother. One thing I love is how easy it is to do automation.

I read a post on here from a while back by reasonable_guy pertaining to plate reverb parts. I tried to get in contact with him but was not successful. Does anyone know where I can get the necessary parts to build my own plate reverb or any other related info. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What are your impressions with the Fantom-s? I hope it is not an Xp80 bundled with an expanded memory S760.. just 64 voice poliphony?

IS Reason nice for PT users? Any bug with PT 5.1.1 or 6.1 TDm?
