Boom/ Hanging Mic recommendations
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on microphones. I film weddings and other events and I need a microphone that can serve as a boom mic as well as capture the live sound in a church or wherever to be synced later. It needs to be rugged since it will see a lot of travel and hopefully not too pricey. Thanks in advance

Recommendations needed!
Hey everyone I have been posting trying to found out info on a recording studio with no computer. I finally decided on going the computer route since it's cheaper and will give me waaay better results than the stuff I've been doing on the Boss BR-8 all in one porta studio. Well the question I have is this: What products and devices will I need to start off on a decent-sounding album?

Audio interface recommendation?
Im looking for something used to record with. 24/96, maybe 6 inputs (dont
necessarily need XLR inputs) . With breakout box (maybe rack mounted) that
interfaces to PC via PCI card. I saw an Aardvark Q10 that seemed a good
choice but they are out of business now I guess.
(Its ok if a product is discontinued but I prefer to have company still

Rock vocal mic recommendation
I want to step up to a mic for about $1000-$2000. No more entry level large condenser mics. I want a keeper. I dont need all the patterns in my project studio, just for vocals. First thoughts are a Neumann TLM 193 or equivalent. I keep getting told just to buy a U87, but I cant seem to justify the expense if I dont have a use all of the mics patterns. Led Zeppelin/Zebra style vocals.

Hi,
We're in the final stages of selecting components for our new DAW, but are confused about which graphics card would be the most compatible.
Here is the system we have picked out so far:

Monitor recommendations for mastering spoken word anyone?
I mainly do spoken word recordings and have reached the point of needing to upgrade my monitors. Last week I visited Sounds True in Boulder to discuss a project I am recording for them. In their control room I was impressed by both the room acoustics and the Genelec monitors as I listened/watched as they recorded another artist.
mic recommendation for high-gain guitar amp AND vocals?
Hi, I need a new mic for recording vocals and guitar and figured there must be a well-priced large-diaphram codenser that will work for both. The amp set up is basically a Mesa rectifier through a 4x12 recto cab.
