Hello,
I am planning to buy monitors for my computer-based home studio. I found these two Monitor Speakers while browing.
I would like to know your views if anyone of you have ever tested these or using them.
Hello i own a fostex vf150ex recorder, peavey pv16 mixer, dbx eq, dbx compressor, and an bbe sonic maximiser. i'm planning on buying a few more things but i was wondering before i did this how can i set this equipment up for mixing and then how could i get it onto a computer. I thought of using a usb mixer as my mixing one and then recording the processed signal onto the computer.
hi there!
Love these forums, helps me out big time.
Now this one:
I am doing voice over stuff and record via a RODE NT1A through a VTB1 hooked on a Finalizer.
Now I wanto buy a Studio Projects C3 and use the same setup. Reason for buying the c3 is that I have heard a lot of good things compared with u87.
I am lookin' at buying a studio bundle and in them comes the M-Audio BX5a 70 Watt Active Studio Monitors.
(Dead Link Removed)
I'd like to know if any of you have used these monitors or any of the other equipment in this package and what your thoughts were on them?
Is the package a good deal? Everything looks clean and sound and is definatley a step up from Cool Edit.
Hi, I am a 17 year old from the UK and have recently become interested in doing some recording. I have tried using the line-in port on my computer and a couple of old microphones and had pretty rubbish results. I am now thinking about buying some equipment so I can do some semi-decent recording, however, I am a novice at this and so need some help in what I should be buying.
In setting Up a small budget recording space, I find my speakers on my computer are quite weak, I have this stereo...

I am upgrading my studio completely this is what i have in mind of getting:
Mackie 24/8 board, Running into a MOTU 24 I/O PCI into the DAW then coming back out of the MOTU 24 I/O back into input B on the Mackie for final Mixdown and finally ending up in the Alesis ML9600 Master Link CD Burner.
Has anyone worked on a Roland VS Studio before?
I have a VS-1680 and no matter how I mic any instrument or vocal the recorded sound is always uneven, boomy and has no definition (muddy bass / zero crack of the snare / no 's' sound on the vocals). I am using the onboard preamps.
