I'm not a pro and I can't afford Sampltude.
What do you think about its little brother ?
Here in Europe it's only 35 € for students and it seems to have really all what I need for editing 6 tracks max and mastering in stereo, with the famous Samp quality.

so i went into guitar center looking for monitors. i was about to resign myself to ordering the Wharfedale 8.2's or buying the KRK Rokit 8's or the M-Audio BX8a monitors they had up there. Then i got a listen to the Yamaha hs80m speakers they had just gotten in.
Is it just me or are these things really friggin' good?
hey this is Sam
if you got good speakers (not with cabinits) is it realy possible to make studio monitors, by building cabinits, and getting the right crossovers and terminals? or is this the most retarted question anyone has ever asked you and that youve ever heard? haha.
I really dont think you could. could you?
Hi,
Ive been dabbling for about a year with home recording on a budget, and it's time to get serious. I have:
P4 2.66 all purpose Dell 4550
1GB RAM (max supported)
80GB HD
Deta 66 (w/Omni box)
Yamaha P120 and Evo MK461c for midi control
DAW-worthless PC speakers (halfway decent consumer-level headphones)
Everything you guys said in your posts was good, yea i know i sound like I'm just doing this as a project on the side, but no...i serioulsy want to get into this. I have a fairly new computer to work with, but I want a new setup. an Apple would do nicely. and yes i do have an insulated room to work with. We've got 2 guitar amps and a Bass amp (about 600 watts each).
Hi Guys,
Bit of a long shot this but I am over in New York next weekend, the Friday & Monday (and in fact the weekend) are my free days.
Basically I am dead keen to have a look at what some of you have got going over there. I'm hoping someone will offer me a studio visit, ideally to sit in on a session.
Hey all this is my first post here and i think my problem might be rather simple to some but id like to make music since ive been fumbling with a few issues with logic express 7 for a few days
Hi,
I recently just watched the film "Metallica - Some Kind Of Monster" and through the entire recording process, James Hetfield sings into this handheld vocal microphone in the control room instead of going into the booth...
It almost looks like he's holding a backwards gun sort of...
Anyone know what kind of microphone this is?
