What is SACD
Super Audio CD is a read-only optical disc format for audio storage, introduced in 1999. It was developed jointly by Sony and Philips Electronics, and intended to be the successor to the Compact Disc format. The SACD format allows multiple audio channels.

Hi!
Just wanted to know from friends, which format is gaining more popularity in the USA..
Seems that just now will be released the first Brazilian DVD-A, from a top hit band called Capital Inicial.
with the popularity of the DVD video, wouldn't it be easier to make it catch?

Will SACD restore dynamics to recordings?
Because compression & normalizing artifacts are more audible with SACD, will their use become less prevelant?
Will dynamic range return?
Will Car SACD players have "compression" buttons?
Are the new higher fidelity formats (SACD & DVD Audio) going to succeed in the market place?
