Samplitude experts needed

I have 2 questions about SAMP

1 : Are spline based curves not allowed in automation ? and is the resolution of 1024 steps enough when logic claims sample accurate automation ?

2: I want to use stereo sidechaining but can't see a way to do so in the same way as in Cubase e.g. crunchessor. Are only the builtin effects allowed for surround configurations ?

Samplitude 2496

Greetings and Salutations.
I have a question regarding Samplitude 2496 if anyone can help. I am experiencing quite a bit of crashing upon using dx plugins and/or closing the program. I'm getting an ACcESS VIOLATION window and sometimes of course it just freezes altogether and reboot etc.

Which Version of Samplitude do you use and why?

I just downloaded the DEMO version of Samplitude 8 and was very impressed. My question is which version should I be looking at? I want to use if for remote recording (max 8 tracks) and mastering. Can it be used on two machines? My laptop for remotes and my desktop for mastering? Thanks for any and all advice

Dithering in Samplitude

I made a recording yesterday using Sonar (mainly because I'm familiar enough with it to know what to do when it crashes mid-concert!).

I moved it into Samplitude for further processing, and was very pleased with the sound. When I put it on CD most of the detail was retained quite well, but there seemed to be a certain harshness on the sibilants that wasn't on the original recording.
