Has anyone here had the good fortune to try both Schoeps m221's and m222's ? I have recently gotten to use a 221 and enjoyed the sound, but I have no experience with a 222. I'm wondering if someone could post their experiences with these bodies and talk about what they like and dislike about each.

finally I made the jump and now I have two Schoeps (mk4 and mk21) for recording my next classical solo piano recital (Mozart, Chopin, Brahms, Wagner/Liszt).
I'll try the NOS technique using the mk4 on treble and mk21 on bass.
A/D conversion using my brand new MOTU Traveler.

I just ordered a Schoeps MK8 to do mid side. I also unfortunately ordered a Schoeps AMS 22. Why unfortunately? Because I'm not fond of paying $184 for a single plastic mic clip.

Do any of you know of alternative (cheaper) mid side shockmounts/clips that would accomodate these 21mm mics (cmc6)?

I've never seen myself as a Schoeps kind of guy, nu particular reason other then that the guy that I trained with had a fierce dislike of both Schoeps and DPA(BK) mikes (ie. no real reason, just a foolish heritage).

Love these new digital mic bodies. These are very exciting times we live in.

I know from searching the archives that a couple people here use the Schoeps M222 tube bodies. I'm considering getting a pair of these to expand my palette, and wonder if anyone can comment on the DC vs AC versions of these power supplies. As I understand, they offer a slightly different set of options...

I'm about to buy a schoeps omni stereo pair. I'm hesitating between MK 2S and MK 2H.
I'd like to be able to use it also in direct field. MK 2H would be fine ?

I'm about to buy a stereo pair of schoeps omnis. Is the XT version (up to 40 KHz) worth being bought ? Isn't it a missmatch with capsulars up to 20 KHz ?

I've been thinking about the Schoeps pre, but I don't know if I've ever heard of anybody using one. The feature-set is great, especially for film work, but I'm curious about its suitability for music, and whether its sound is worthy of its price.
