Forums

when I bought my mics I just put the mics in the shouckmounts and figured they should be good to go, but when recording the audio is crazy, from a distance away I can hear so much, I can rub my feet on the rug and hear it,when I walk I can hear it, I guess I lack knowledge, the mics I'am useing are the Studio Project B1 and the MXL v63m I'd appreciate if someone could help me out thanks

Shock mounts: elastic cord fix

Hello RO,
I have a couple of cheap shock mounts I got for a couple of MK-319's off ebay about ten years ago. Also, a third one for a AKG C4000B/414.

The black colored cord thats used to keep the shock mount strung has lost its elasticity. Does anybody know where to get more elastic cord and metal hardware to connect the ends?

How To Shockmount a 451?

Hi all,

Well I'm a little aggravated this morning. I've been eyeing the Shure donut mounts for a couple of weeks now and finally picked up a pair. Turns out the diameter of the 451 is too small for the Shure mount!

Anyone else have any ideas on how to shockmount a 451? I'd prefer not to have a bulky spider mount, but I don't know what else I could use.
