OK I have a M-audio Delta 1010lt pci soundcard {8x8 unbalanced analog Ins/Outs,2 mic preamps or line inputs},ART Tube Mp project series/48v phantom power as my mic preamp,AKG perception 220 Condenser Mic.My question is, How do I set this up with least amount of hum noise, or any type of noise that will come from the mic input on my delta soundcard,which has a built in preamp,and the artube prea

My sound card is an RME 9652 which has ADAT outs. Working fine.

Now for years I've used a Frontier Designs Tango 24 for the D/A portion (to get to the studio control mixer) but the Tango24 now seems to be flaking out.

Hi I'm new here so don't be too harsh. I have a USB condenser mic and was wondering if the soundcard on the computer affects the quality of the USB? I tried this mic on a computer and a laptop and both have different qualities. The computer was much better. Laptop could not handle it.

Hey all... Here's my situation...

Looking to get a new desktop and the last hangup is a soundcare/interface...

I have nice mics and headphones, good mixer, use Adobe Audition primarily, but soundcards have been kicking my arse.

I'm interested in recording guitar and I'd like to know what will give me better results out of the two options.
An audio interface that allows me to do this or connecting to a good quality sound card via something like a 6.5mm to 3.5mm jack.

Which is better and why?

Ok, so I haven't had any good luck (Or response) on my other posts and this is probably because I've been asking the wrong question.

I posted this in the "Home Recording" part, which I believe may have been the wrong place. So here is the post I put there.

I use my PC for lots of entertainment, from watching movies, recording TV, listening to music, and I dabble in music production.

does the delta 1010lt improve your vocal and midi recordings or does it just change what you hear? i would really like to know thank you
