Which would you rather go for, they are basically the same price around $400 for a pair?

Any have them or used both?

Will be using them for drum OH's and acoustic instruments.

I am doing voice over stuff and record via a RODE NT1A through a VTB1 hooked on a Finalizer.
Now I wanto buy a Studio Projects C3 and use the same setup. Reason for buying the c3 is that I have heard a lot of good things compared with u87.

anyone know much about these mics? Im looking for a good quality pair of instrument condenser for recording acoustic guitar, percussions, and possibly other stringed instruments. They seem like a great deal for a pair at $350

I want a different shock mount for my Studio Projects C mic. The one it came with BLOWS. The bands always are coming loose.

Any suggestions?

So in researching Studio Projects C4s, I noticed two things alarming to the consumer. First off, it looks like Studio Projects is in the process of jacking up prices by 20% or so (C4 was $299, now at Sweetwater it's $359. C1 was $199, now it's $239). A couple sites like Music123.com still have they're mics at the original price but I doubt it'll be for long.

Hi anyone using the Studio Projects VTB1-RK ?

I'have just purchased 2 x VTB1 Mic Preamp and 1 rack kit.

I just got a pair of the Studio Projects C4's and to me, using one C4 on my voice sounds so much better than my C1. I sing hard rock, and the C1 was sounding too "tinny" on the high-endand thin bodied. Granted, I'm only using a GT brick preamp into an MBox, but swapping to a C4 makes a hell of a difference.

I'm not whether to post this in the budget or pro forum, but here it is.

I want to buy 2 large diaphragm condenser with switchable patterns (card. omni and eight).
Both the NT2A and the C3 are within my budget

I ordered a Studio Projects B1 microphone off of eBay and I got it today. All the pictures I have seen of them show the mic just plain with no dials or switches on the front but this mic says Studio Projects B1 and then it has a switch on the front that can either select: -, -10dB, or -20dB. Then on the back it says CE and has another switch with options that are: -, 75, and 150.
