Probably the 50,000th Home Studio Setup Question.
Hi all, I'm new to this forum so bear with me.
I have a max budget of €6,000 to buy a relatively decent home recording set up.
I'm a songwriter but want the option of recording live drums. You can check out my choons at http://www.myspace.com/briandunlea. These were recorded with a Boss BR900CD.
home studio setup
Hello i own a fostex vf150ex recorder, peavey pv16 mixer, dbx eq, dbx compressor, and an bbe sonic maximiser. i'm planning on buying a few more things but i was wondering before i did this how can i set this equipment up for mixing and then how could i get it onto a computer. I thought of using a usb mixer as my mixing one and then recording the processed signal onto the computer.

I can play basic piano, and am now looking to record some keyboard parts (strings etc) into my songs. I have no idea about MIDI, sequencing, plugins and so on.

Prospective Home Studio Setup w/ Diagram, Suggestions pls
I am planning to convert my bedroom into a control room of sorts, primarily used for mixing progressive rock and rock tracks, occasionally acoustic music as well as metal-orientated music.
The floor is carpet, and the walls and floor are thick, solid concrete.
