Have you guys heard Jeff's new album, DIG UP THE ASTROTURF? It's the first album recorded in 5.1 Surround Sound format. It's incredible!

Jeff's been co-writing and performing with Sheryl Crow for many, many years. "My Favorite Mistake" and "Soak Up The Sun" are just two examples of their work together.

Does anyone know if/how to get your Sonar recording to be at least 4 channel surround?

Any ideas would be sweet.

What are you doing and what do they demand..?
This is research that I am doing, maybe it could help many if we discussed it openly here.
Off the top of my head :
1. What kind of "surround" work are you seeing, or expecting to see ?
2. Who are your current clients and anticipated clients ?

What do you think will be the timeframe when all studios will be expected to be surround sound capable? Or, in your opinion do you believe it will be a speciality request by the major label projects only (or just some major label projects)?
