What the heck is the switch on the left side of the ON led for? There is no marking. I just got it and haven't had a chance to hook the sucker up yet, but I'm real curious to know what that is ...it's not even in the manual.

I own 2 Aardvark Q10's which I use on my Dell computer. They have their own A/D converters rated at 24 bits 96khz. I keep reading the great raves the Apogee system )like the Rosetta) keep getting from everyone. They have the same sampling rate as the Q10, but an Apogee system cost like 3 tiems the price of the Aardvark Q10. Any of you have any suggestions ? should I keep my Q10's ?

I need to be able to switch the toslink cable inputs for two D-A units. The messy way is to manually move the cables around which is a headache. Can anyone suggest a switch that can handle the bandwidth of an ADAT signal without disrupting the optical signal.

I have tried one from maplins but I suspect it was only designed for S/PDIF because I get errors in the signal.

I tried asking this somwhere else, but Im not getting an answer, so Ill try here.

Trying to make some decisions on which console to switch to.

Im currently on a PT Control 24 with a HD2. This was the console that was in this new studio i now own. So far, Pro Tools has been really cool, and really powerfull. But ive just felt it hasnt been my style of mixing and i feel i can get a better board than the Control 24.

Dumb questions are allowed in the beginner's forum, right? :D

Anybody seen, used or built something like this? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
