I am recently retired (mostly) and living in a rural community in Nova Scotia. We have/had a very active arts scene that punched far above our demographic, drawing audiences from ~150kms. All indoor venues are small (50~200 seats) but manage a few outdoor festivals each year that attract 500~5,000.

Hi folks, totally new here. Have been playing around with song writing for the last 10 years. I don't mind writing but recording and mixing (to end up with what I have in my head) is the difficult bit aint it! Steep learning curve.

Hi all,

My power amp has blown, so I'll be getting some near gear, and was hoping to be able to use my sub in my new setup.

At the moment, it's

Audio interface (Which needs to be replaced as not working with Windows 10) ---> Power amp ----> Subwoofer (PSB Image subsonic 6) -> Tannoy reaveals PASSIVE monitors.

I'm new to recording and could use some some help on tips or tools to improve my flute recording. Currently using a Apogee Mic+ on a mic stand hang away/above about 2 feet from the performer; can't seem to get better lows or capture reverb well recording the flute, maybe I'm adding too much gain on mic.
