best design for a ext trigger to drum brain?
hey everyone, Ive changed from playin a stomp box with plate mic inside, which ive used for 6 years, to using the DM5 drum brain and an external trigger.
After trying 5 different designs of trigger using a transducer, wired reverse polarity, I still cant get one with a 100 percent consistency.

using ddrum triggers with a software inst.
hey everyone. I was just wondering if it would be possible for me to get the ddrum triggers and use them with my garage band virtual software drums that come with the program so that i could just play the drums on my acoustic set rather then type or keyboard them in. Is this possible. As well as with any software such as drums from hell and bfd, etc.

Digitally triggering drum samples
Hi guys,
I have a multitrack drum recording setup, but I am not getting a snare drum sound that I quite like. Since I am on a budget (who isn't), I was wondering if there was a plugin that could trigger a sample whenever my drummer hits on the snare track. It would be some sort of autosampler based on a dB threshold.
Thanks!

Triggering our Acoustic kit?
I am completely new to midi and all this. I currently run a pc with Sonar 4...soon to be logic pro on a macbook pro.
We have a tiny room with our drums. We have a lot of problems getting a good sound. I've thought about getting something like Toontracks DFH and a triggering kit. I'm not sure how that will even work.

Setting up MIDI triggers
Hey. I'm wondering how I can make my Midi keyboard trigger an arpeggiation with just pressing one note. more specifically, lets say I want the keyboard to go through a G scale by only pressing a G chord...looking to reproduce sounds like the ones made by the band MUSE. Thanks.

Record Acoustic Drums (VS) Using Drum Triggers
Which do you prefer when recording drums. Recording the raw Acoustic Drums, eq and compress, and know it's all you.
recording acoustic guitar outriggers
Some people record acoustic guitar with a X/Y (or M/S) stereo-pair plus closeup outriggers.
Any suggestions
mics (outriggers) : omni or card ?
mics: placement ?
mixing ?
phase problems ?
more links ?

What are the best Drum Triggers?
I would like to set up a kit with triggers that are accurate and reliable - does anyone have a suggestion? Also, since I am new to this area here is what I would like to do: Set up a kit put the triggers on the kit and record just the trigger impulses to Digital Performer - no audio samples at this point. Then take the impulses and trigger Drumagog or something.

question...midi data generated by a drum module and triggers
hey everyone,
I'm new to Cubase and midi and trying to learn...
Heres the problem. I set a DM5 module up so that it records the midi data
into cubase.. Now i want to get better sounds than the gs wavetable thing has.
So do i need a vst plugin for drums for this? If so, can anyone recommend something good for metal/death metal drum sounds.
