Using Drumagog to trigger my Alesis DMPro
Can someone help me out. I've read the manual inside out on my Alesis DMPro, Drumagog, Cubase SX, and my FW1884. What I want to do is replace my recorded kick with a kick in my Alesis. It won't work not mattter what I do. I have in to out and out to in with Midi cable between my FW1884 and the Alesis. I load up Drumagog on the insert of the recorded kick and nothing.

Drum trigger software for Mac...
Yup,
I've searched the forums and google...
Just been working with a producer who was using drumagog on his PC to trigger nice samples for drums and was most impressed with it's interface, but can't find anything like it for Mac. Did find apTrigga, but it just didn't compare...

Triggering secondary sounds
I have heard on a couple occasions of engineers using one instrument to trigger a sound generated from another electronically. For example, a gate would be "attached" to a kick drum, a synth holding a very low note (40 or 50 Hz) would be triggered when the kick gate would open giving a "sub" note to the mix whenever it is struck.

Acoustic Drum Triggering
Anyone using this technology? I'm always doing it afterwards, with the "audio to midi groove template" in Logic, and then the NNXT sampler in Reason (Rewire from Pro Tools).. The "audio to midi groove template" works much better if you do a "telephone" eq to the snare and toms. Anyone having other ways of doing this?
