Vocal Compressors, Microphones
What are your favorite of each, for maybe around $100 each? I don't have a problem with Behringer and I don't want to go too crazy especially because I'll be having this in my dorm room.
I already have -> Firepod, SM57, and AT2020 for microphones. I want just one more mic and a vocal compressor so I can play + sing at the same time and have a more leveled out vocal track.

Darker toned vocal mic to compliment NT1a and SP B1 $200?
Hi. I'm looking for a new vocal mic to record a mezzo soprano gospel singer (Aretha Franklin style) because I found my RODE NT1a and Studio Projects to be a little harsh and brittle on the top end.
I've narrowed my choice of mics down to these :-
MXL V67g
KEL HM-1
T.Bone RM700, Cascade Fathead 2, Nady RSM4 (same mic)
Shure SM57 or Sennheiser E840
This vocal style... yay or nay?
Okay, so I am VERY bad @ recording, and at singing... lol
This recording is offtime, off key, and bad quality.. but I'm curious to hear what you all think of the vocal style... its very doubled

its called "alcohol and regret"

What is that vocal effect called?
Its that effect where the voice seems to be manipulated to play a certain melody, its used a lot in techno music, especially psy-trance and goa, the most popular example I can think of is the song "Im Blue" (Da ba dee da ba dye... etc), the voice also gets a more robotic feel to it.
