Voice presense

Im looking for that very expensive vocal sound in the mix, used on many records you hear on the radio like sevendust. I have some of the equipment that should take me close. I have 2x 4040s and a Marshall electronics tube condenser with nice preamps. Any VST plugins or other tips to make the vocals sound right in your face with a very full/present sound.

Electro-Voice RE11,what's it good for? B1 overhead? 58vs57?

this is a mic from the 70s...looks nearly identical to the RE16, but slightly squared off on the top of the grille. I inherited one of these mics...in my minimal testing I've found it sounds great on guitar amp for an aggressive, focused syd barrett type sound. wasn't thrilled on voice.

does anybody love these for certain applications? like would it sound good on a snare drum?

Voice Pro software from Gallery?

Hi everybody, I recently started work at a software company that does all of it's mutimedia production in-house. We're currently recording and editing audio in Sound Forge but were looking at purchasing a program like the Voice Pro package from Gallery (gallery.co.uk) that is talor made for our method of producing large amounts of audio clips based off of a script.

voice-over career help please

After being told I should persue this for years I am finally going after it. I want to explore voice-over work. I have done some reseach on the net and find all kinds of workshops but don't really know what I am looking at. Does anyone have any experience here and could you offer some advice about how to not get totally ripped off and learn a little about this subject in the process.
