I'd like to know if any of you have heard any news about the new clock box from Apogee or not?

Yes, I am an employee of Apogee but there's just no question that this unit is an amazingly awesome one!

I'm just trying to find out if anyone has heard about it or not.

I'd like to point out some features of the unit if you don't mind.

OK, a question to those of you using another clock source other than Digi.

Here's our proposed set-up::::::

Dual TC electronics in the Spdif and Optical----a A/D converter (from a Manley Pre) in the RBUS (AE 7000) and out the RBUS to a Masterlink.

will we have a CLock/sync problem?

I am looking at a couple of Word Clock generators, namely the Lucid, Drawmer and Apogee offerings. I am looking in the US$1,000 price range.

For the Apogee unit, I see the spec to be +/- 10% at 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96K... That seems high to me. Was this a typo, or is that considered good?

I have a question about connecting 3 different digital devices together via wordclock bnc connectors.

I am connecting a digital mixer, an Echo Layla, and an PreSonus DigiMax mic preamp. I want to use the PreSonus as the "master", and then slave the Layla and the mixer to the Digimax. All 3 of these devices have both workclock ins and outs.

I've been trying to sync up a Swissonic AD96 MKII with an RME 9652 and a Lucid DA9624.
Things were generally unstable with wrong sample rate displays on the RME and a flashing lock light on the Lucid until I removed the BNC terminator from the T connector on the RME word clock in.
Anyone know if not terminating the last piece in the chain is OK?

Hey All;

Just upgraded my converters and stuff and had a couple questions:

I managed to get a used Lucid ADA8824 and Genx6 for an amazing price, and picked up an RME Digiface to use along with it-I've never used lightpipe/toslink stuff but understand how it all works fine.

Question; will the clock on the Tascam Dat-1 (portable) be better than the internal clock on the digi?

Question for the masters. .Should i keep the dbx Quantum for the better clock/compression/eq/limiter or do you think it wiser to buy a UAD 1 card for the plugs for recording and mastering? Is the clock mucho importante or what? thanks mark
