Does This Switch Wiring Work For What I Want?
I want to break a signal path which has no discrete components in it as of now. I want a 3 position toggle switch to have the options of Stock (signal pass through), Resistor 1 (signal path broken and routed into Resistor 1), and Resistor 2 (signal path broken and routed into Resistor 2). I've been pondering this, but I think I have figured out how to do it.

db25 cable questions for wiring the studio
So here is the deal. I am in the patchbay/cable routing hell part of the whole studio build. I have decided to get a couple of Audiolot 192pt mixbays. I spoke with a gentleman about possibly getting the wiring and boxes in a bulk deal through Audiolot, but the price was a good deal out of my range.

Wiring classic Shure 545 unidyne iii 4 pin amphenol to XLR
Can anybody help me with the correct cable wiring for a Shure 545 which has 4 pin amphenol connector (the type which changes impedance by changing the mic cable) very early I believe made in USA before Shure moved production to Mexico.
I bought 2 of these for my son but need to try to sort cables for him
Structured Home Wiring (Permanent Snake?)
Hi,
I dunno if this is the right forum, but basically, I'm looking to make some 'snakes' that I want to use in my home. Like most middle-aged musicians and serial killers, I live alone. I pretty much record in every room. So what I end up doing is dragging long XLR cables all over the place.

Connecting Patchbays and Mixer... what cables & wiring
I'd like to wire a 24-channel analog desk to a patchbay for outboard gear and then route it back to the desk.
I wish to record the signals dry during the tracking process but would like to mix OTB and use my outboard gear in conjunction with any plugins. I'd like to use some FX like reverbs just for monitoring purposes during the tracking process.
Les Paul Wiring - Starting from scratch
I am modifying a buddy's Les Paul and considering the shape of the original wiring, decided to completely wipe and start anew implementing a new wiring scheme with his permission (new simply meaning not the stock wiring). It's a cheap chinese LP knockoff not an original, so it's not like it will lose value or anything.
