Description
The XLR connector is a type of electrical connector primarily found on professional audio, video, and stage lighting equipment. The connectors are circular in design and have between three and seven pins. They are most commonly associated with balanced audio interconnection, including AES3 digital audio, but are also used for lighting control, low-voltage power supplies, and other applications. XLR connectors are available from a number of manufacturers and are covered by an international standard for dimensions, IEC 61076-2-103. The XLR connector is superficially similar to the smaller DIN connector range, but not physically compatible. A smaller version, the mini XLR connector, is sometimes used on smaller equipment.

Mixer for Drums - 12 XLR condenser mics & band

New here and also new at this.

I'm trying to find a mixer for drums and hopefully band as well.
Drums have 12 XLR condenser mics, all needing phantom power.
I'm thinking of 16-24 channels, but like I said, I'm brand new to mixing and I would appreciate any and all help.
It would be nice to be able to record as well, but a mix is the main thing here.

Looking for Neutrik TRS/XLR combo jacks. Any leads?

I am building a custom patchbay for my preamps and compressor. All of which are 1/3 rack sizes (no, they are not tiny Universal Audio preamps. )

Instead of wiring a XLR and TRS for the balanced lines in, those combos from Neutrik would be the best thing. I don't even know if its OK to just wire a TRS jack and XLR up together to common lines (ganged 1, 2, 3).

XLR Time Code ?

Hi,

I might be needing to sync a DM24 to a digibeta soon. The DM24 accepts TC via a female RCA jack. This was not a problem while using the BeTascam SP. BNC to RCA cable.

Just saw a Digibeta. It has XLR TC input and output. What kind of a cable do i use ?

On the RCA side, do I :

float the negative ?
float the ground ?
Attach negative to ground ?
