It doesn't. As I understand it, they're all the same, and they're all "Mercenary Editions" no matter where you buy them, because Fletcher consulted on the design. He has a thread about it somewhere over on the prosoundweb.com forums if you want to search for it.

Mine has the early blue faceplate, which does provide a bit more meat in the tone.

Nawwww... just kidding. It's only cosmetic, but I do like the blue faceplate better. :)
