Hey All,
This is my latest composition that I recorded over the last week. As usual, I mixed it on headphones.
In contrast to some of my earlier recordings, I though I'd try out a different drum kit (courtesy of EZDrummer) and tried to sharpen my programming skills. I quite like the sounds -- seems quite 'live' but would be interested to hear what other people think.
Does it work?
Compositionally, the track is a mix of 5/4 and 4/4 time signatures.
I mostly used a Vintera 50's Tele, and in a couple of places, a 2015 Les Paul Traditional for some of the chunkier rythm parts.
All guitars went through a Bias Amp 2 plugin set to emulate what I believe is a Diezel VH4.
The bass guitar, I'm rather embarassed to say, was actually programmed using EZBass. I do have a bass guitar but it's extremely crackly.
Thanks,
Ben.

I would love to hear more hi hat doing 16th instead of the boring 4/4 in some of your riffs to give a more uplifting feel on the hats. Hope that make sense?
Good work as usual.
Thanks for the feedback. Makes total sense. Will have a think on the 16th hats and see what I can do!
Ben.
