I recently got a copy of Cubase LE, but I cant figure out how to view the waveform. All that comes up in the track when I record something is a black box that contains the audio.

LE is pretty impressive for what it is, but they do have an upgrade program now if you got LE bundled with an audio device.

I would expect LE does not have a waveform editor(as some of the higher-end apps do). LE is a toned-down app to entice you to upgrade. I have SE 3 (excellent BTW) and it has a wave editor.
