Hey everyone! So i recently attended Grammy Camp, a program where I was fully immersed in audio engineering at USC. It was an invaluable experience and I learned a ton. The audio engineer students were sent home with tracked sessions of some of the songs written and recorded during the camp for mixing at home. This is my first pass on one of the songs. Technically, these mixes shouldn't be shared too much so keeping this somewhat private and contained here would be best. I already hear 3 problems that I want to fix, lets me know if you hear these too.

1. Female vox a bit too bright/airy

2. Guitar intro has too much low end ( is too woofy )

3. The snare and maybe kick could be more present in the mix

Thanks!

To be brutally honest, I will never click on an outside link from an unfamiliar or unknown source, and I believe many others here would feel the same way.

Is there any way you can upload it to the player here?...more members will listen to it that way and be able to give you the feedback you request.

Yeah I think so! the file was too big to upload originally because it was a WAV, but I can bounce it as an mp3

I listened to the link and I thought it was pretty damn good! Love the horns. I thought the hihat was a little too much at times, at least when he's playing it open. The reverb and delay on the female vox seems a little bit much to me too. Less is more... I don't think the guitar intro has too much low end, but if I were you I would experiment on taking some low end off the guitar once the bass guitar and other instruments come in. Not sure how I feel about that phaser or flanger thing on the guitar at 2:13...

Overall I think this is an awesome song and a great mix! :)
