Hey all, I just wanted to share with you that I found what is probably one of the last pairs of new NS10s.

The lil' fellas arrived today to join the pack of NS10s and spare tweeters and woofers here, ready to face a future of scarcity in these things.

So, who loves ya, baby?

I'm sure we're all curious, so just for the record here, let's see a show of hands...

Who loves 'em...and who hates 'em.

Let's roll!

I love my NS-10's..I'm so used to them..they're the first set of reference monitors I used and I got so damn used to them that I cant imagine myself really working on any other speaker...Eventually when I get my own place to put my gear in I'll finally get another larger scale speaker for maximum oomph(sp?)yet still retain my NS10's for mixing!!

Kevin, they still did a year ago when I picked up another pair from Cutting Edge Audio Group in SF while on the road. What's cool about the horrortones is they last twice as long, since I only use one in mono in the control room.

My opinion, however, is that Auratones are very different animals than NS10s, and serve a different purpose. NS10s are one of my favorite mix nearfields provided they are sitting on the meter bridge of a nice big analog desk, otherwise they don't sound right. The mono Auratone gets much less use; I throw the mix on it every now and then to simulate a mono TV set / radio / elevator / supermarket aisle listening experience.
