:roll: :roll: :x how do I use the fw 1884 just as a control surface to get only one recording output when using logic? I've tried reinstalling the firmware but still get a dual output when recording. PLEASE HELP

Yes I have a 1884, but I run it on cubase so I'm not really sure how to change the settings in logic, must have something in the manual though.
You can also press the "mon mix" button on the fw1884 which will make it act like a 8/2 analog mixer but there should be a way to change it to direct monitor in logic as well.

Not a logic user but you may try changing the devices to only direct monitor or computer monitor. Not sure what logic calls it but it must have some kind of a section for devices and monitoring?
