Ok. So I'm a$$ deep in reaming out two separate CATV headin systems. I need to fabricate some passive splitters that are rackmount (19"). I remember reading where some of you guys purchase steel/aluminum boxes but am too tired to dig through the archives. Give a guy a helping hand?

Basically I'll punch out the back for 25 rf jacks (barrel connectors) and then surface mount a 1x3 split going to 3x8 splitters. Then I'll custom cut RG6 to length to connect it all up. There are no commercial CATV products that fit this need as the combiners are one way circuits for isolation purposes. Basically it's a roll your own situation.

Thanks for any help on sourcing.

Semper Gumby. Owner has now put this project on temporary hold because of a snake oil salesman. I think it will be back on when the bid comes in.

I have a full set up Greenlee knock outs. I have drilled (drill press) them out before but for precision I usually use knock outs or just get lazy and buy the panel pre punched. An alternative is simply to make a panel with all the splits "flow charted" and labeled and screw it to the wall. No 19" rack needed. The fun part will be pulling off all the so called crimped connectors and putting on proper compression connectors.
