I was planning on getting an m audio axiom midi controller, but at guitar center (I know not the most reputable source, hence why I'm asking) an employee recommened the akai mpk controller b/c he said the sliders and so force weren't always assigned correctly with some recording softwares (I run Sonar on a PC w/ vista). Can anyone tell me if this controller is really worth the huge price difference? I would like to get the axiom, but if the akai is really that much better, I can pay the difference. thanks
Because the sliders weren't always assigned correctly? Holy Smo
Because the sliders weren't always assigned correctly? Holy Smokes Batman! That's why settings are programmable.
Now, if you go and try them both out and you find you like the AKAI better then that is a different ball of wax. In fact you should try them both out. Don't listen to some moron with a capitol MO feed you some crap about slider assignments. If he really wanted to make a sale he should have set them both up for you to try out. Test the key weighting, the audio quality, everything.
Off to the Bat Cave.
