hi i am quiet new to recording to my computer i used to use kristal which worked fine i have now switched to adobe audition 3.0 i worked fine as well but i haven't recorded onto it in a while and now i have went on plugged the amps rec out into the computers mic input plugged the amp into the fx pedal and fx pedal into the guitar and tried to record and its not working i use realtek HD as a input
can anyone help me please i need to record something for my fathers birthday

You will either need to build a custom cable or use/borrow an interface to get the audio into whatever program you use (I happen to use Audition 3.01 and Reaper primarily myself). Your mic input from within the control panel in very rare cases will have some settings which may allow it to function more like a TRS line input. In that case you would just need a cable going from 1.8" mini TRS plug to two RCA mono plugs. What is the jack on the guitar amp? XLR or TRS or is it RCA phono?
