You don't feed your bands? I thought that was standard practice. Maybe you should rethink your policies..... :wink:

haha, you could keep some bologna and some bread around for these situations. Might be worth it to keep things rolling.

PIA isnt it. But me, i've managed to keep myself genuinly broke. So it's the bands that end up feeding me! :twisted:

Speaking from the band's perspective, well, we were always hungry! First, we spent all our money on studio time. Then we squeezed in gigs the days before and after the session, because we had to finish paying the studio off. So, we roll back into town after a gig, going right to the session. Might have grabbed a cup o' joe and a danish or something at a gas station. Hammer through the session until lunch time, then head to Subway and get the cheapest sub they have. This was the reality of it. I was always hungry, always tired, usually a little hung-over, but damn it was fun! I see your point, though...a band wanting you to provide food for them is obnoxious! As Reggie said, maybe keep a few cheap foods and snacks around to keep it moving. Trust me, the band will recomend you to their friends not only for your recording skills, but that you keep snacks around too!

Let them eat cake!!

Actually, I tried to play high once...terrible experience! I was so paranoid about my timing. I kept thinking, "I'm speeding up, better slow it down a bit"...."Shit, I slowed it down too much, got pick it up a little!"...and on and on for an hour and a half! Miserable!

In my expierence in recording sessions, the bands brought their own beer in and then went to get food after unloading and setting up and waiting on me to mic everything up. then maybe after basic tracking was finished they would order a pizza or have the drummer go get some food for everyone while starting guitar/bass/vocal overdubs. then poke some smot here and there, and have another band member go running to the gas station to get chips and other munchies.
