Hello there, I've been dabbling with my DAW for around a year now and am still pretty clueless (as you will gather from the question). I've got a P4 2.8ghz 512 ram 120 gig with a wave terminal 192m (sound card) and run Cubase sx along side reason 2.5. I updated the drivers for my card recently and have found that Cubase and reason stall or stutter being that they will freeze up momentarily. I'm not sure if I can say that this coincided totally with the new drivers or if it is due to the fact that my projects are becoming more elaborate and ambitious and I'm using more ram. Is it the case that I need to upgrade my ram or is there some tweaking I can do to configure my system for smoother running.
Hey Coopsy, welcome to RO! You should probably upgrade to 1 GB

You should probably upgrade to 1 GB if you can. It's pretty much the minimum for a strong DAW.
I assume you're running XP. If I assume correctly, check out [[url=http://[/URL]="http://www.modularm…"]this[/]="http://www.modularm…"]this[/] list of system tweaks, written by a past moderator of ours, Gary Brenner (aka Opus2000).
