I am sure there's many opinions regarding this question But I am looking for a great one size fits all stereo compressor in and out of the box.
in the $ 2000, dollar range. It will need to be utilitarian because I will only have the one and also a great plugin compressor. Currently I am using an SSL Duende mix compressor on everything, so any tips on something mightier would be appreciated

Sorry to spam the forum here but I'm selling a new ( cracked box) SCL-1 as we speak which is ideal for the 2-bus. Its awesome but not ideal for mastering. $1800.00 and its yours. Its very sweet and extremely transparent.. I'm selling it because I need a weiss DS-1 for mastering. Its $7000 more . If you are interested, please PM me.

Another Comp that I am will be testing this month is the A Design HM2. It looks really cool too. Hope that helps for starters.
