What's the pre-amp like? Can it be compared to a more well known unit?

The en-voice is no Avalon but it stacked up well against other mid-priced pre's
..i compared it with joeMeek and dbx strips using a few rode mics..you can dial in
a little colour with the tube..everything sounds better through the mindprint than
my mackie VLZ pre's
