Hello all,
I am trying to setup a MOTU midi express XT in order to have Paris send MTC to control a Korg Triton sequencer. I realize this should probably be very simple, but...
I have followed the Paris instructions in the manual, but am not sure what settings I should use for the Motu, as I can't seem to get it to work. Any help with this would be much appreciated.
I am on a PC with Athlon 1.2 gig, 60 gig maxtor, 512 mb of Ram...

Bjoern, sorry I didn't reply to you, but I'm running Paris on a Mac and the MIDI config is different. I should have clued into the Midi clock issue here though. As you've found already MTC is the only option right now.

Apparently the answer is that Paris doesn't send Midi time "clock" as of yet and so the drum machine or Korg sequencer won't receive MTC or SMPTE by themselves but require a device to convert these to midi sync.
It's funny that given how superior Paris is (in sound and features) to the Roland 1680 (my previous recording system), something as simple as being able to sync up a drum machine requires much effort (compared to the 1680).
Anyway, Paris is still great and I am definitely glad to be a part.
Thanks again,
